(Yes, I know her left nostril is smaller than the right - faces are not perfectly symmetrical, after all)
For all those of my watchers who keep asking me to draw more emotive portraits (and non-Asian people).
I changed some of the details in this compared to the reference photo - not a lot, but I left some out and 'invented' others, because I thought it’d look better as a pencil portrait like this. I also wanted to make the contrast heavier, especially around her eyes to give her a more sullen, dark look, and I gave her lips and her neck a completely different, more rough-cut texture.
The original photo and all the rights to it are © the talented FurtiveLungs (furtivelungs.deviantart.com/).
Please note: This is NOT edited in some photo software program. This is a pure scan of the original drawing - it's only worsened by my stupid scanner - and it’s completely touch-up free. I really hate when people automatically assume I've used Photoshop (or a similar program) to edit the details and contrast of my drawings.

Medium: cheap, random sketching and mechanical pencils.
Time spent: forever and a day.
Size: A4 (8.3 inches × 11.7 inches).

This is great. Has to be my favorite drawing of all time right now. I really love it.
